LIBERTY, NY — Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Tau Chapter, met on November 14 at BOCES in Liberty to learn about Sullivan 180 and its mission.
Tau Chapter’s guest speaker, Meaghan Mullally-Gorr, director of health and wellness at Sullivan 180, gave a presentation about the group’s mission; it focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of Sullivan County residents.
Mullally-Gorr provided statistics to show the need for building a healthier community through prevention by working within the school districts to improve mental health, nutrition and physical fitness.
She discussed the many programs used by school districts to help empower a healthier generation. Mullally-Gorr also explained how to get involved with Sullivan 180.
Delta Kappa Gamma Society International promotes the professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.
