ON THE AIR — The longtime PBS public affairs series formerly known as “The Laura Flanders Show” has become “Laura Flanders & Friends.”

The new show, still hosted by the award-winning Laura Flanders, launches on Sunday, April 7 at 11:30 a.m. on World, YouTube and on local PBS stations.

You can also find it on Apple Podcasts and Spotify beginning on Monday, April 8.

Available on hundreds of PBS stations and reaching nearly 85 percent of American households, “Laura Flanders & Friends” is committed to delivering positive, non-partisan, nonprofit news and public affairs programming. It reports on community-led initiatives across the U.S. to create a more equitable, inclusive society.

The upcoming season of “Laura Flanders & Friends” will introduce a collaborative hosting format, featuring an array of co-hosts from different backgrounds and different regions of the country.

The program combines original reporting with in-depth analysis, singular perspectives and rare interviews with people who are driving forward-thinking change in the worlds of arts, business, civic life and social justice. Topics are presented in an easy-to-understand way with the help of the latest graphics and visual explainers.

The upcoming season will explore how towns are addressing inequality, reimagining public safety and expanding democracy leading up to the November elections. Topics will include the economy, labor and immigration.

Interviewees coming up include Angela Davis, who will discuss her latest book; Stacy Mitchell, co-executive director of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance; author Matt Stoller on anti-trust action; and Stephanie Flanders, the head of economics and politics at Bloomberg and Bloomberg Economics.

Laura Flanders & Friends is nationally syndicated by American Public Television. Visit lauraflanders.org for more information and to check your TV schedule and radio listings.
