Arrest for sexual assault of minor child

WAYNE COUNTY, PA — The Wayne County District Attorney announced the arrest of Jeremy Daniel Briscese, age 40, of Waymart, PA, for sexually assaulting a minor child. 

The Defendant is charged with 143 counts each related to Rape, Rape of a Child, Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Statutory Sexual Assault, Sexual Assault, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Indecent Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor Child, Corruption of Minors, Unlawful Contact of a Minor Child, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, Intimidation of a Witness/Victim, and other related charges.  A true and correct copy of the complaint is enclosed with this press release.  Certain charges and information have been redacted from the Complaint to protect the identity of the minor victim.

The Complaint alleges the Defendant had sexual intercourse with a minor from about March 2021 to February 2022.  The Complaint alleges the Defendant kept a record of the sexual assaults by marking his calendar with hearts, totaling 143 hearts.  

The Central Court date is set for July 27.  District Magistrate Judge Kay Bates set bail at $500,000.  The Defendant is held in the Wayne County Correctional Facility.
