HAWLEY, PA — Most landowners have small woodlots less than 10 acres in size. Penn State Extension's “Woods in Your Backyard” webinar series will show small landowners how to help the environment through simple stewardship practices.

The series unfolds across nine one-hour live evening webinar sessions, all centered on forest management. It will be offered 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays from Jan. 17 to March 13, 2024.

It will cover topics such as forest ecology and soils, tree planting and native landscaping, tree identification, enhancing wildlife habitat, water in the woods, invasive species management, and woodlot management techniques.

Good forest management benefits wildlife habitat and helps control invasive plants. For more information or to register, call 1-877-345-0691.
