HONESDALE, PA — The 159th annual Wayne County Fair drew crowds and celebrated a return to normal life.

Sponsored by the Wayne County Cooperative Agricultural Society, the fair has long been a family tradition, offering food, games, shows and fun—something for everyone.

This year, folks were offered music by a variety of bands, truck and pony pulls, a kids’ demolition derby (see next week’s sports column by Ted Waddell for full coverage), the annual animal auction, and, of course, the midway.

Kids wandered by, clutching recently-won stuffed toys. Booths offered games and challenges of all kinds. The carousel carried a new generation of kids around and around, and the Ferris wheel lit up the sky like a star.
