Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following case was addressed by the Honorable Janine Edwards, President Judge Wayne County Court:

HONESDALE, PA- June 9, 2022

WILLIAM LEO CURE, age 48, of Milford, PA, previously sentenced on November 2, 2017 to 90 days incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility followed by 60 months in the Intermediate punishment Program related to a DUI, was remanded to the Wayne County Correctional for the remainder of his sentence, July 25, 2024. The defendant was found in violation of his parole for failing to attend scheduled appointments, having charges filed while being on parole and failing to notify his supervising officer that he was involved in a traffic stop. 

JOHN ALEXANDER DAVIGNON, age 25, of Lackawaxen, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 6 months for one count Unsworn Falsification to Authorities (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine of $200.00, and maintain employment or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred on September 30, 2020 in Honesdale Borough.

DEBI DURLING, age 35, of Newfoundland, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count Firearms Not To Be Carried Without a License – No Criminal Violence (M1). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a mental health evaluation with an approved provider and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and have no contact with the victims. The incident occurred on February 20, 2020 in Dreher Township. 

PATRICK J. YOUNG, age 29, of Allentown, PA, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than three months nor more than 18 months for one count Possession of a Controlled Substance (M) and one count DUI (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay the mandatory minimum fine of $1,000, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with his assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and continue mental health treatment and comply with any recommendations for treatment. The incident occurred on March 22, 2021 in Berlin Township.

CHASE RYAN VINTON, age 31, of Pleasant Mount, PA, was placed on probation for a period of 12 months for one count of Possession of Controlled Substance (M). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, undergo a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and obtain a job within 30 days or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred on December 15, 2021 in Waymart Borough.

JAMES SANDERSON, age 42, of Vesta, NY, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court.

ADAM M. DEGROOT, age 49, of Lake Ariel, PA, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court. 

JOHN LEWIS DERHAMMER, age 48, of Wyoming, PA, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court.

JEREMY SMITH, age 44, of Honesdale, PA, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court.
