LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY  — The Arts Nest at the Delaware Valley Opera Center (Arts Nest) will host Trivia Night with actor and River Rep co-director Arthur Aulisi on Friday, May 24 at 6 p.m. Admission is free but registration is recommended. Email info@delawarevalleyopera.org.

Kathy Geary and Lucas Maehara will perform from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 25. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Maehara is described as a storyteller of the human experience. His Mosaic Americana musical style “blends the whimsical and the profound creating a sound as diverse as the influences that have shaped his journey,” his website notes. The music “connects hearts and souls through the expressive artistry of his poetic imagination, storytelling prowess and the intensity and playfulness of his live performances.”

Kathy Geary released an EP of original folk rock music in 2022, titled “Sky High,” recording with her band Cloud Cover. She produces “Now & Then,” a live public radio program at 3 p.m. on Saturdays on Radio Catskill. The show focuses on singer-songwriters, their history and the latest music they’ve released. Geary has performed in operas in Europe and the U.S., as well as with the Delaware Valley Opera since 2012.

She performs locally on a regular basis and says she is “thrilled to live among the inspiring musicians who bring our community to life, with a serious commitment to music.” Learn more about Geary at vision.kathygeary.com and cloudcover-music.com.

Arts Nest offers a large variety of entertainment year-round in a comfortable, friendly setting, described as a fun place for serious artists. “Come with your friends, take a table, have a few drinks and small plates, while enjoying the performances.”
