FALLSBURG, NY — The Town of Fallsburg approved a partnership with the Hudson Valley Athletic Club (HVAC). The town announced the launch of a new soccer training program aimed at enriching the lives of young athletes in the Fallsburg community. The program begins this Sunday at 6 p.m. at Mountaindale Park.

HVAC, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization known for its commitment to holistic player development, focuses on both athletic and personal growth.

The program, designed for children aged 12 to 18, aims to provide a dynamic and enriching experience for participants, combining skill-building with a passion for soccer.

This free one-day-per-week soccer training plug-in is specifically tailored to support current members of the Fallsburg Central School District soccer program, as well as other high school-aged soccer enthusiasts.

The program's primary goal is to strike a balance between enjoyable play and tactical training, ensuring that participants not only enhance their skills but also cultivate a lasting fondness for the sport.

Scheduled for Sunday evenings, starting on August 20 at 6 p.m. The program offers an accessible opportunity for young athletes to develop their soccer prowess while connecting with peers who share the same passion.

The Town of Fallsburg, in collaboration with the Sullivan County Youth Bureau, the Sullivan County Legislature and the Town of Fallsburg, will provide free transportation to participants, ensuring that every interested athlete can participate.

The program's training sessions will be held at the soccer field, which is located in Mountaindale Park. Furthermore, for older players, HVAC offers an exclusive add-on option, coordinating college campus tours.

This would provide insight into the world of collegiate soccer, and gives players a chance to explore potential pathways for their future athletic endeavors.

"We look forward to continuing the building of a solid foundation for student-athletes who aspire to play at the next level of college soccer,” said Scott Goodman, president/CEO of HVAC. “Our collaboration with the Town of Fallsburg allows us to provide invaluable experiences that extend beyond the field."

"We are proud to partner with the Hudson Valley Athletic Club in this endeavor,” said Kathy Rappaport, Fallsburg supervisor. “This program aligns with our commitment to nurturing the talents and aspirations of our young community members."
