LIBERTY, NY — Sullivan County’s Department of Community Services has increased, as of April 3, the available times for walk-in service for those seeking mental health, substance use and/or other therapeutic assistance.
“Based on usage patterns and to better serve those who can’t or don’t want to wait for an appointment, the Department of Community Services will welcome walk-ins every Tuesday from late morning until 7 p.m.,” said Salif Banse, director of community services. “And our Mental Health Clinic will continue to accept walk-ins every Thursday between 9 a.m. and noon.”
The Department of Community Services offers the following:
Individual psychotherapy
Marital and family counseling
Group therapy (not offered during extended Tuesday hours)
Medication therapy
Crisis intervention/outreach
Court evaluations
Consultation and education
Case management
Anger management
Coordinated children’s services Initiative Single Point of Access (SPOA)
