SOUTH CANAAN, PA — A man who injured himself in July earlier this year after making a pipe bomb and setting it off near his home in Waymart has been sentenced to the Wayne County Correctional Facility for six to 23 months for one count of risking a catastrophe and possession of a controlled substance.
The man, Alan Boguski, was driven to Wayne Memorial Hospital after the explosion in July and was listed in critical condition. A bomb squad later found a substance thought to be methamphetamine and four pipe bombs in Boguski’s home.
Boguski must also undergo a drug-and-alcohol evaluation and a mental-health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment.
