MILFORD, PA — The Pike County Drug Task Force on March 16 charged Eric Mosher, 44, of Port Jervis, NY, with three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, each a felony, after arresting him in the process of bringing drugs into Westfall Township for the purposes of selling them, according to District Attorney Ray Tonkin.
According to the affidavit of probable cause in support of the charges, detectives learned that Mosher would be traveling from Port Jervis to Westfall Township to sell drugs. Detectives, along with officers from the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Eastern Pike Regional Police Department, awaited Mosher’s arrival.
The car that Mosher was a passenger in struck another vehicle in the parking lot of the business where Mosher was headed. Mosher then attempted to walk away from the collision. When confronted by officers, Mosher attempted to discard two bags under a parked car.
Inside the bags police located a quantity of what is believed to fentanyl, cocaine, and 31 blue pills. The items will be sent for lab testing; the blue pills have markings of being oxycodone but could be falsely marked in an attempt to disguise them from being fentanyl pills.
“The cooperative work between multiple agencies in Pike County and the Port Jervis Police Department should continue to put drug dealers on notice that the cooperation will continue and will result in their arrest,” Tonkin said.
Tonkin thanked the Port Jervis Police Department for their assistance in the investigation. “The cooperation of Chief Worden and his officers is outstanding and contributing to a safer Tri-State Area,” Tonkin said.
Mosher was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Ashley Zimmerman and incarcerated in the Pike County Correctional Facility in lieu of posting $500,000 bail.
Mosher will be scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Pike County Court.
