LEHIGH TOWNSHIP, PA — Multiple dogs left behind by their evicted owner attacked two people in Lehigh Township, PA, leaving one severely injured.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Dunmore, troopers responded at 6:15 a.m. on Monday, February 12, to a report that multiple dogs were attacking two people at 57 Iroquois Path in Pocono Ranchettes, in Wayne County.

Upon their arrival, the officers encountered several dogs in the roadway and found a severely injured woman. She was promptly transported to Geisinger Community Medical Center for immediate medical attention.

She required intubation and underwent a partial arm amputation. The second victim was treated and released.

Police said they found the front door of 57 Iroquois Path ajar, which allowed the dogs to retreat inside the residence.

Further investigation revealed that Lori Mulvey, who had previously rented the property, had been evicted but left her seven dogs behind until she could secure alternative accommodation. Police say Mulvey admitted to owning the dogs and confirmed that her last visit to the property to feed them was on February 10.

Mulvey relinquished custody of her seven dogs to dog warden Jim Rickert.

Charges on Mulvey are pending.
