Pike County Courts — October 27

MILFORD, PA — Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak:

Amanda Joi Colarusso, age 28, of Greeley, PA, was sentenced to 3 months to 6 months in a state correctional facility to run concurrent to the sentence she is presently serving, and a fine of $500 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance and the Summary Offense of Drivers Required to be Licensed.  The state police stopped Colarusso along SR 6 in Shohola Township for an inoperable license plate light on April 9, 2022.  Drug paraphernalia was observed on her vehicle floor when speaking with Colarusso.  It was discovered that an active warrant was in effect for Colarusso and when she was transported to the Pike County Jail she was found in possession of six baggies of heroin.  Colarusso was also found to be driving without a license.

William Christian Josh Torres, age 21, of Scranton, PA, was sentenced to a fine of $400 for the crime of Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana. Torres was stopped by the state police for vehicle violations while traveling along I-84 in Palmyra Township on November 25, 2021.  While speaking with Torres, the trooper detected the smell of marijuana.  Torres admitted to being in possession of marijuana and provided it to the trooper.
