Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak:

Aaron Celinko, age 30, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to 96 days to one year in the Pike County Jail and fined $200 for the crime of Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Retail Theft.  Celinko drove two individuals to a retail store in Westfall Township on January 5, 2020, for the purpose of taking merchandise without paying for it.  Celinko then waited at the store exit to help the individuals load the stolen items valued at $310.43 into the car and drove the individuals to their residence.

Mark Anthony Rayford, age 36, of Hawley, PA, was sentenced to 12 months to 48 months in a state correctional institution, followed by three years of probation and a fine of $300 for the crime of Indecent Assault.  Rayford touched a minor child’s chest and buttocks at a residence in Blooming Grove Township. 

Richard L. Glenn, age 42, of Dingmans Ferry, PA, was found guilty at trial and was sentenced to three months to 18 months in the Pike County Jail, fined $1,335 and a driver’s license suspension to be determined by PennDOT, for the crimes of Resisting Arrest and Other Law Enforcement, Harassment Disorderly Conduct, and the Summary Offenses of Carrying and Exhibiting Driver’s License on Demand, Driving While Operating Privilege Suspended or Revoked and Restraint Systems.  The state police stopped Glenn on Doolan Road in Delaware Township on September 14, 2019, for traveling at a high rate of speed and having dark window tint.  Glenn acted belligerent towards the trooper and refused to exit the vehicle as requested and substantial force was implemented to get him to comply.  Glenn was found to be driving on a suspended license and not using a seat belt. 

Crystal Chmielewski, age 30, of Little Falls, NJ, was sentenced to six months of probation and fined $300 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Chmielewski was observed by the state police speeding and weaving across her lane of travel on SR 6 in Palmyra Township on June 13, 2021.  Field Sobriety Tests were conducted which did not show impairment.  A jar of Marihuana was observed in her vehicle cup holder.  A search was conducted of her vehicle which revealed two additional jars of Marihuana.

Erika Fay Sherlock, age 34, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to six months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $800 for the crime of Simple Assault and the Summary Offense of Criminal Mischief.  Eastern Pike Regional Police were dispatched to Rt 6 & 209 in Westfall Township where a dispute had occurred between Sherlock and another vehicle operator where Sherlock punched the individual in the mouth and broke off the vehicle operator’s side mirror on October 6, 2021.

Kate Ingrid Eschler, age 30, of Souderton, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to five years in the Pike County Jail, fined $2,000 and had her driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. The state police responded to SR 402 in Porter Township where Eschler was involved in a one vehicle crash. Eschler was emanating the smell of an alcoholic beverage and had bloodshot, glossy eyes.  Eschler admitted to drinking prior to driving.  Field Sobriety Tests showed impairment and a blood test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .174%.  

Vasyl Ilnytskyy, age 44, of Brooklyn, NY, was sentenced to 120 days to five years in the Pike County Jail, fined $4,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence.  The state police observed Ilnytskyy swerving across his lane of travel on Milford Road in Lehman Township on May 30, 2021.  Ilnytskyy was observed to have glassy, bloodshot eyes and smelling of an alcoholic beverage.  Ilnytskyy refused to submit to a Field Sobriety Tests.  A breath test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .182%.

Daniel James Hnatko, age 18, of Greeley, PA, was sentenced to 18 months of probation and fined $600 for the crimes of Prohibited Offensive Weapon and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance.  The state police stopped Hnatko on March 14, 2022, for weaving across his lane of travel along Route 6 in Blooming Grove Township.  When contact was made with Hnatko, the trooper detected the smell of Marihuana, and a pat down search of Hnatko revealed him in possession of brass knuckles.  Hnatko was observed to have glassy, bloodshot eyes and exhibited signs of impairment during Field Sobriety Tests.  Hnatko stated he had consumed alcohol.  Hnatko refused to submit to a blood test.

James Irvin Briggs, age 33, of Bushkill, PA, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and fined $300 for the crime of Criminal Mischief.  The state police were dispatched to a residence in Lehman Township for a neighbor dispute on August 30, 2021, where Briggs did in excess of $1,000 damage to the neighbor’s outdoor furnishings.

Joshua Lugo, age 25, of Bushkill, NY, was sentenced to 36 days to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $100 for the crime of Strangulation.  The state police reported to a residence in Delaware Township on March 27, 2022, where a verbal disagreement became physical when Lugo shoved an individual and then grabbed the individual around the neck applying pressure to the extent that the individual could no longer breathe.

Tristan Thomas Phillips, age 19, of Milford, PA, was sentenced to 48 hours to six months in the Pike County Jail, fined $875 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence and the Summary Offenses of Registration and Certificate of Title and Proof of Financial Responsibility Following Violation.  The State Police responded to SR 209 in Dingman Township on November 12, 2021, where Phillips drove his vehicle into a tree.  While speaking with Phillips, the trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage.  Phillips admitted to drinking prior to driving.  A breath test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .075%.  Phillips was found to be driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. 

Denise Pellegrino, age 59, of Greeley, PA, was sentenced to 12 months or probation and fined $500 for the crime of Retail Theft.  Pellegrino took items with a retail value of $249,74 from a retail business in Delaware Township between September 26, 2021, and December 8, 2021, without paying the full value.

Samuel Hill Snover, age 35, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and a fine of $500 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Snover was stopped by the state police for a faulty headlight while traveling along Route 6 & 209 in Westfall Township on September 11, 2021.  The trooper observed Snover exhibiting nervous behavior and a consent to search the vehicle revealed Heroin/Fentanyl.

Amanda Lynn Reesey, age 41, of Hawley, PA, was sentenced to 11 months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $500 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Reesey was stopped by the state police on February 22, 2021, when observed traveling along SR507 in Greene Township with an inoperable brake light.  When contact was made with Reesey, she exhibited visible nervousness and criminal activity.  A search of Reesey’s vehicle revealed Heroin.

Brian James Schiffer, age 57, of Shohola, PA, was sentenced to 15 months to seven years in a state correctional facility, fined $4,000 and had his driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence, Driving While Operating Privilege Suspended or Revoked and Terroristic Threats.  On January 15, 2019, Schiffer threatened to burn an individual’s house down and shoot the individual at a residence in Shohola Township.  The state police were made aware of Schiffer driving under the influence on January 22, 2022.  Contact was made with Schiffer at Granite Drive and Mountain View Drive in Blooming Grove Township where the trooper detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage and observed him to have glossy, bloodshot eyes.  Schiffer admitted to drinking prior to driving.  Field Sobriety Tests could not be completed due to Schiffer’s condition.  A blood test confirmed a blood alcohol content of .30%.  Schiffer was found to be driving on a suspended license which resulted from a prior DUI.

Shaun Michael Cushman, age 28, of Sussex, NJ, was sentenced to 11 months to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $500 for the crime of Theft.  Cushman cashed a check at a business in Matamoras on December 5, 2021, in the amount of $347.97, knowing it was a duplicate check.

Anthony R. Focht, age 45, of Landsford, PA, was sentenced to 1 year of probation and fined $400 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Focht was stopped by the state police for speeding along Ledgedale Road in Greene Township on December 3, 2021.  Suspicious behavior by Focht prompted a request to search the vehicle which revealed Methamphetamine. 

Lukasz Gliniak, age 30, of East Stroudsburg, PA, was sentenced to two years of probation and fined $500 for the crime of Home Improvement Fraud.  Gliniak received $8,500 under a contract with an individual for home improvement services at a residence in Lehman Township and failed to perform such services or provide such materials on July 19, 2020.
