LAKE ARIEL, PA — Onvo, a network of travel plazas and hospitality businesses, recently donated $1,000 in support of Lacawac Sanctuary’s mission of research, education and preservation.

Lacawac is proud to have Onvo and its employees as supporters as it works for the good of the environment.

“This funding will help children in our community learn hands on K-12 field trips and keep Lacawac’s hiking trails open and free of charge to the public,” said Craig Lukatch, Lacawac’s president.

“Lacawac Sanctuary’s mission aligns directly with Onvo’s goal of supporting local organizations that are focused on the betterment of the community we call home,” said Harman Aulakh, Onvo’s vice president of marketing.

Lacawac’s educational outreach programs serve K-12 students throughout northeastern PA. The donation directly supports hands-on science and environmental experiences for children in over 30 school districts in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Lackawanna, Pike and Wayne counties.
