HONESDALE, PA — Joseph Costabile, age 38, of Greentown PA, was sentenced by Wayne County President Judge Janine Edwards to not less than 20 months nor more than 60 months for stabbing the victim, Christopher Nagel. Mr. Costabile previously pled guilty to Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon (F2).
He is also awaiting sentencing in Staten Island New York after he allegedly a man in the leg outside the man’s and then fled the scene on May 19, 2021.
In the early morning hours of July 11, 2020, the defendant, Daniel Motz, and the victim got into an altercation after the Defendant threw fireworks at bystanders outside Cordaro’s restaurant as the Defendant drove away. During the altercation, the Defendant stabbed the victim in his abdomen and thigh.
