WAYNE COUNTY, PA — On Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17, 12 members of the NEPA Maple Producers Association will open their sap houses and sugar bushes to the public. The members are offering a free, family-friendly SELF-GUIDED tour representing sugar bushes that range from a few taps to well over 5,000.

Participants can follow the maple syrup process from the tree to the table. Many producers will offer free samples and many maple products will be offered to purchase.

The tour will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The following producers will be included in this year’s tour: Burke’s Maple Farm, Streamside Maple, Journey’s End Farm, Sticky Dog Sap House, Nebzydoski’s Maple, North Harford Maple, Shemanski Maple Syrup, Morning Sun Farm, Augusta Acres Farm, G & M Maple, Pocono Mountain Maple and Watts Hill Maple Farm.

Location and map details can be downloaded from the Wayne County Conservation Districts website at waynecountypa.gov/645/Maple-Tour.

Scrumptious pancake breakfasts with 100 percent locally made maple syrup will be available along the trail of the maple tour each day.
