HONESDALE, PA —Wayne County District Attorney A.G. Howell announced the following case was addressed by the Honorable Janine Edwards, President Judge Wayne County Court:
BERNADETTE ALSTON, age 46, of Wantagh NY, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, perform 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any and all recommendations for treatment. The incident occurred don July 4, 2022 in Paupack Township.
LISA LYNN BRAJUKA, age 50, of Carbondale PA, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 60 days nor more than 6 months for one count Driving Under the Influence (M), and one count Driving While Operating Privilege Suspended/Revoked (S). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay the mandatory minimum fine of $1,300, participate in and cooperate with the drug and alcohol addiction treatment in accordance with her assessment, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, obtain a mental health evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, and obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding her from employment. The incident occurred on January 1, 2020 in Berlin Township.
ASHLEY NICOLE BURGER, age 30, of Hawley PA, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, perform 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any and all recommendations for treatment, and have her operator’s license suspended for 60 days. The incident occurred on July 24, 2022 in Salem Township.
DEBORA ANN COSTA, age 53, of Beach Lake PA, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, complete 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any and all recommendations for treatment, and have her operator’s license suspended for 60 days. The incident occurred on June 23, 2022 in Texas Township.
MILTON JOSE DE LA CRUZ, age 39, of Bronx NY, was sentenced to 12 months probation with 3 months house arrest through the SCRAM program for one count Unsworn Falsification to Authorities (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, and maintain employment or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred on June 17, 2020 in Paupack Township.
ERIC GRANT, age 22, of Honesdale PA, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 6 months nor more than 23 ½ months for one count Simple assault (M2), and two counts Harassment (S). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay a fine of $200, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with all recommendations for treatment, continue mental health treatment and comply with any recommendations for treatment, attend and complete an Anger Management Program, participate with Wayne County Drug and Alcohol Case Management Services, have no contact with the victim, and obtain employment within 60 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred on May 21, 2022 in Honesdale Borough.
DONALD J. HOWANITZ, age 46, of Waymart PA, was sentenced to a $300 fine for one count Disorderly Conduct (S). The incident occurred on October 1, 2020 in Waymart Borough.
ANTHONY LEE LANIGAN, age 33, of Labella PA, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 12 months nor more than 24 months for one count Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment, and relinquish any firearm and any ammunition to law enforcement within 24 hours. The incident occurred on August 3, 2021 in Salem Township.
SHANNON H. MAREE, age 38, of Lake Ariel PA, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, complete 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any and all recommendations for treatment, and have her operator’s license suspended for 60 days. The incident occurred on July 31, 2022 in Cherry Ridge Township.
SANDRA ELIZABETH McDEVITT, age 61, of Honesdale PA, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, complete 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any and all recommendations for treatment, and have her operator’s license suspended for 30 days. The incident occurred between July 3, 2022 and July 4, 2022 in Berlin Township.
DANIEL MICHAEL MISZLER, age 37, of Honesdale PA, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 3 days nor more than 12 months for one count Retail Theft – Take Merchandise (M1). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, participate in counseling to address retail theft behavior, continue with drug and alcohol treatment through his current provider and comply with any and all recommendations for treatment, refrain from entering the Walmart in Texas Township, and obtain employment within 30 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment. The incident occurred on April 15, 2022 in Texas Township.
NICHOLAS LEE SPORER, age 30, of Milanville PA, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 11 months nor more than 60 months for one count Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition (F3). He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, pay restitution in the amount of $10,895.95, continue with his drug and alcohol treatment and comply with any recommendations for treatment, continue with mental health treatment and comply with any recommendations for treatment, obtain employment within 60 days of parole or provide documentation from a doctor precluding him from employment, and resolve all active warrants within 15 days of parole. And participate in Wayne County Drug and Alcohol CRS Services until discharged. The incident occurred on May 5, 2022 in Texas Township.
MIKAELA SHANNA TIGHE, age 44, of Honesdale PA, was sentenced to undergo incarceration in the Wayne County Correctional Facility for a period of not less than 2 days nor more than 12 months for one count Retail Theft (M2). She was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any recommendations for treatment, obtain a mental health evaluation and comply with treatment all recommendations for treatment, participate in counseling to address retail theft behavior, and refrain from entering any Walmart while on supervision. The incident occurred on July 12, 2022 in Texas Township.
WALTER GEORGE WAGNER, age 59, of Honesdale PA, was placed in the Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition Program for a period of 6 months related to a DUI. He was also ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, complete 20 hours of community service, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety Program, undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and comply with any and all recommendations for treatment, and have his operator’s license suspended for 30 days. The incident occurred on July 10, 2022 in Texas Township.
BRIDGET LYNN REESE, age 45, of Pittston PA, was issued a Bench Warrant for failure to appear at court.
