MILFORD, PA — Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Gregory Chelak:

Emil James Kirschbaum, age 54, Greentown, PA, was sentenced to 6 months in a state correctional facility to run concurrent to the sentence he is presently serving, and a fine of $2,500 for the crime of Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked. A random registration plate check run by the state police along Bartleson Road in Palmyra Township on September 1, 2019, revealed that Kirschbaum was operating his vehicle on a suspended license which was the result of a prior DUI.

Moses Glasstone McCrary, age 24, Lackawaxen Township, PA, was sentenced to 72 hours to 5 years in the Pike County Jail and fined $2,200 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or a Controlled Substance and the Summary Offense of Drivers Required to be Licensed.  The state police observed McCrary driving erratically along SR 402 in Blooming Grove Township on August 12, 2016.  When contact was made with McCrary, the trooper detected the smell of Marihuana.  McCrary admitted to smoking Marihuana prior to driving.  Field Sobriety Tests were conducted which showed impairment and a blood test confirmed the presence of Aminoclonazepam and THC in McCrary’s body.  McCrary was also found to be driving without a valid driver’s license.
