LIBERTY, NY — The public is invited to join a guided fall hike to Witch’s Rock at Walnut Mountain Park at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 30.

This will be a 60-minute (approximately one mile) round-trip walk along wide, gently uphill carriage roads. The trip leaders are Lisa Lyons of Morgan Outdoors and James Guara of Liberty Parks & Recreation.

It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the fall foliage and beautiful views at the overlook, the organizers said.

Meet at the baseball field parking area, Walnut Mountain Rd., off Route 55. The hike starts promptly at 4 p.m.  Wear sturdy shoes or boots and warm layers.

The trek is sponsored by  Liberty Parks & Recreation and Morgan Outdoors.

Walnut Mountain is a 265-acre town park, with historic carriage roads and recently constructed mountain bike trails that add to Liberty Parks & Recreation's trail network.

For more information and to RSVP, call Liberty Parks and Recreation at 845/292-7690, or between Friday, October 28 and Sunday, October 30, RSVP to Lisa Lyons at Morgan Outdoors at 845/693-4181.

Morgan Outdoors is located at 234 Main St. in Hurleyville, NY.
