Elizabeth Williams is running for council member as a write-in in the Town of Rockland, Sullivan County. There are two open seats for town council and the two other candidates, Andrew C. McRell and Christine N. Routledge, are both Democrats and are on the ballot.

My name is Elizabeth Williams, and I am running as a write-in candidate for Town of Rockland Town Council. 

I am a local small business owner and the mother of three LMCS Wildcats.  I grew up spending much of my time in the Town of Rockland and over the last three-plus decades, I have witnessed it change and grow dramatically.  

As an invested community member, I care deeply about this town, its residents, and its future. I believe in bringing people together to produce positive change and solve issues that impact us all. I hope to strengthen the connections between those who are new to the area and those who have been here for generations to find inclusive and economically stable solutions that can benefit us all and leave us with time to celebrate our achievements and growth.  

I believe that as an elected council person, it is my job to reach out and listen to all of the voices that make up our community and to strive to make those voices heard and responded to. I’m motivated, caring, and eager to listen and learn. I promise to ensure the Town of Rockland continues to thrive as a wonderful community, where opportunities abound, small-town charm endures, and generations thrive. I humbly ask for your vote on November 7 to help write the next chapter of our story together.
