DVAA to hold Art Flea fundraiser

NARROWSBURG, NY — It’s a chance to purchase art and support the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA); the Art Flea fundraiser will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at DVAA’s Krause Hall.

A ticketed “First Dibs” preview party will be held on Friday, May 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the recital hall.

On Memorial Day weekend, the DVAA’s Krause Hall “transforms into a treasure trove of original artworks at prices that’ll make your eyes sparkle,” a staff person said. “It’s not just an art sale; it’s a treasure hunt extravaganza with a flea market twist.”

Each artwork was once cherished by members of the community; now the works have been donated. “From striking paintings to whimsical sculptures, there’s something for everyone,” the staff member said.

The preview is designed by John Erik Karkula and co-hosted by Alessandra Iavarone, owner of the Velvet Maple Lifestyle Shops. The early show offers food, drinks and company, as well as the chance to get first dibs on the artworks before the public sale.

The fundraiser on Saturday and Sunday is free of charge. The cost of tickets to the preview party is $35. All funds support the DVAA. Purchase tickets at www.delawarevalleyartsalliance.org/event/art-flea-preview/

The Krause Recital Hall is located at 37 Main St.
