MILFORD, PA — William Henry Motz, age 30, of Lake Ariel, PA, was sentenced by the Honorable Gregory H. Chelak on November 12, to 36 months to 72 months in a state correctional facility and fined $1,000 for the crime of Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver a Controlled or Counterfeit Substance. Motz was the subject of undercover surveillance conducted by Troop R Vice Unit of the Pennsylvania State Police for trafficking illegal substances in January 2021.
On February 9, Motz’s movements were tracked through his cell phone to a hotel in Westfall Township. Motz was met by undercover police in the lobby of the Westfall hotel where he was placed under arrest. A search of his backpack revealed 69 stamped glassine packets of Heroin/Fentanyl packaged for sale, three unmarked glassine packets, methamphetamine and marihuana. During an interview conducted with Motz by the state police after the arrest, Motz admitted that he would regularly travel to Paterson, NJ to purchase bricks of heroin.
