David Daniel Evans Jr., 83, of Milburn, NJ, passed away December 9, 2023 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale, PA. David was born June 18, 1940 in Scranton, PA. A funeral service and memorial Mass were held December 15 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Honesdale. Interment followed at the Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst Township, PA.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 21 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St. in Port Jervis, NY. The Panachyda service will be at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 22 with an 11 a.m. Liturgy Mass in St. Volodymyr’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2104 County Rte. 41 in Glen Spey. Burial will be at Glen Spey Cemetery in Glen Spey.

Alice Mary Varga, 86, of Tyler Hill, PA and formerly of Carteret, NJ, passed away December 13, 2023. Alice was born November 5, 1937 in Elizabeth, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated December 20 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale, PA. A second visitation will be held at Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High St. in Hackettstown, NJ on Thursday, December 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Entombment will be at The Union Cemetery in Hackettstown on Friday, December 22 at 11 a.m.
