Sara “Sally” Jane Compton, 81, of Hawley, PA, passed away November 27, 2023 at Mid-Valley Health Care in Peckville, PA. Sara was born April 21, 1942 in Honesdale, PA. A blessing service was held November 29 at Hessling Murray Funeral Home in Honesdale. Interment followed in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.

Linda Diane Dare

Linda Diane Dare (née Henderson), 78, of Franklin, NJ, passed away November 25, 2023 at Westwind Manor in Franklin. Linda was born June 18, 1945. Funeral services were held December 1 at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home in Franklin. Interment followed at North Hardyston Cemetery in Hardyston Twp., NJ.

Margaret C. Dykhuizen

Margaret C. Dykhuizen, 96, of Lockport, NY and formerly of Honesdale, PA, passed away November 28, 2023 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Margaret was born May 31, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Calkins Baptist Church in Milanville, PA, followed by a funeral service. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Girdland Cemetery in Girdland, PA.

Gladys M. Haas, 94, of Bethany Village and formerly of Shohola, PA, passed away November 27, 2023. Gladys was born July 7, 1929 in Shohola. Graveside services and interment will be in German Hill Cemetery in Shohola.

Ronald D. Heater, 85, of Honesdale, PA, passed away November 29, 2023 at home. Ronald was born April 29, 1938. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 9 at 11 a.m. at James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd. in Lake Ariel, PA.

Judith ‘Judy’ F. Margarum

Judith “Judy” F. Margarum, 84, of Port Jervis, NY, passed away November 28, 2023. Judith was born March 8, 1939 in Port Jervis. Funeral services were held December 3 at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home in Port Jervis. Judith will be interred in the family plot in Pine Grove Cemetery in Matamoras, PA.

Ann P. Nonnemacher, 91, of Honesdale, PA, passed away November 27, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Ann was born June 13, 1932 in Carbondale, PA. A funeral Mass was held December 1 at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Honesdale.  Interment followed.

Margaret O’Reilly, 88, of Hawley, PA, passed away November 25, 2023 at Elan Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Scranton, PA. Margaret was born July 23, 1935 in Jackson Heights, NY. A Mass of Christian burial was held December 1 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Ledgedale, Lake Ariel, PA. Inurnment of cremains followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Judith Ann Peterson

Judith Ann Peterson, 80, of White Mills, PA, passed away November 30, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. Judith was born August 14, 1943 in Nyack, NY. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Jeremiah Robbins, 35, of Honesdale, PA, passed away November 26, 2023. Jeremiah was born April 24, 1988 in Honesdale. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 9 at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale, with a luncheon to follow.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 8, at 4 p.m. in the Wesley Room at Central United Methodist Church, 205 11th St. in Honesdale. Visitation will be on Friday prior to the services, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Wesley Room.
