HONESDALE, PA — Teacher Christine Kwiatkowski of Wayne Highlands Middle School (WHMS) received the 2024 VFW Teacher of the Year award for Region 10 of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Kwiatkowski teaches seventh-grade English Language Arts. For Veterans Day 2023, she received the VFW Citizenship Education Award for WHMS. She was lauded for “the dedication and care you give students every day!”
