HURLEYVILLE, NY — All are invited to celebrate winter with the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail Alliance at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 24 on the O&W Rail Trail.
The SnO&W started in 2020 as a snowshoe fun run and walk and rotates locations each year to feature a different segment of the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own snowshoes or similar gear. The first 20 people to arrive in need of equipment will receive their choice of either a free snowshoe or microspike rental, depending upon trail conditions. Snowshoe rentals will be available at a discounted rate of $12 through Fortress Bikes, and Morgan Outdoors will offer a “SnO&W Special” microspike rental for only $5 (normally $12).
Participating fire departments in the Sullivan 180 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge will receive three points for attending with five or more active members.
Learn more on Facebook at www.bit.ly/2024SNOW or call 845/807-0531.
The Sullivan O&W Rail Trail Alliance is a partnership of local government entities, nonprofits and volunteers who serve as the stewards for the trail. For more information about the O&W Rail Trail and the work of the Alliance, visit www.SullivanOandW.com.
