NORTHEASTERN PA — The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute (NRCI) serves cancer patients in Wayne and Pike counties as well as other communities in northeast PA.

As an example, the institute provides information and resources to those affected by breast cancer. This includes:

What to expect for those newly diagnosed

Coping with treatment

Transportation

Financial resources

Insurance concerns

Support groups (regional and online)

Genetic testing resources 

Help children when a parent/adult family member has breast cancer

Provide information about breast cancer risk factors, signs and symptoms, and ways to reduce risk

Help people get screening for breast cancer through the NRCI Community-Based Cancer Screening Navigation Program

Breast cancer survivorship resources

Caregiver resources

Other concerns that could arise as the result of a breast cancer diagnosis

NRCI can link individuals to local, regional and national resources to assist with the above topics.
