SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — The Sullivan County Soil & Water Conservation District is holding its annual spring tree and shrub program; the last day to order is Monday, April 8. 

Landowners can choose from a wide variety of deciduous and conifer trees and shrubs, as well as specialized packets such as Nut Tree, Flowering Tree & Shrub, Wildflower, Butterfly and Perennials. Seedling varieties allow the purchaser to select what’s right for their needs. 

A range of quantities is offered at reduced cost to promote conservation plantings.

Other items available through the program are fruit trees and wildlife habitat housing. 

Trees and shrubs offered through the district program can be planted for wildlife habitats, windbreaks, hedges, screens and streambanks, and road bank stabilization.
