WOODRIDGE, NY — The Kiwanis of Woodridge, New York Foundation and the Woodridge Volunteer Fire Department have been planning a fun event for children in the area for several months.

Saturday, March 16 was bright and clear and a great day for hunting colored eggs. The eggs were hidden; refreshments were ready; and the Easter Bunny was waiting for the children to arrive. The Bunny was not disappointed!

Children and their parents/guardians arrived with their baskets at the ready. The hidden eggs were collected; photos were taken with the Easter Bunny; crafts were made; refreshments were eaten; and 12 beautiful baskets with toys, games and Easter-themed items inside were raffled off. 

Everyone ended the morning with smiles, laughter and appreciation for everything that had been done to create such a wonderful event for the children of the community.

We can’t wait to see what surprises are in store for next year’s event.
