MIDDLETOWN, NY — Fei Tian College recently invited Assembly District 100 candidate Paula Elaine Kay (D-Rock Hill) and Middletown mayor Joe DeStefano to meet with administration, faculty and students.
Kay detailed some of the priorities she is campaigning on, highlighting assistance and coordination between Albany and Middletown, revising bail reform to give judges more discretion, assuring a woman’s right to choose and addressing the local needs of Middletown and the college.
She and DeStefano also discussed how to best coordinate between the City of Middletown and Albany. They also talked about the importance of collaboration and dialogue across all parties to arrive at solutions driven by caring for people over political positions.
Kay is an attorney with a 30-year background in federal, state and municipal government, including the approval process for major projects such as Resorts World Catskills and the Kartrite Indoor Water Park and Resort.
Fei Tian College is chartered by the New State Board of Regents and accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. It offers undergraduate and advanced degrees in the arts, biomedical sciences and data sciences.
