MILFORD, PA- Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced charges of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials filed against a Pike County man on October 23, 2024. Investigators from the District Attorney’s office charged Patrick Veasey, age 46, of Westfall Township with several sexual abuse of children, felonies, for the possession and dissemination of child sexual abuse material.

According to the affidavit of probable cause supporting the charges, Detectives at the District Attorney’s Office received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that child sexual abuse material had been uploaded from an internet account. After an investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Veasey’s residence in Westfall Township. With the assistance of the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crime Unit, detectives discovered child sexual abuse images on an electronic device.

Tonkin credited the combined effort of the detectives in his office, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department, the Pennsylvania State Police and the Wayne County District Attorney’s Office during the case. “We are determined to bring all necessary resources together to protect children in Pike County”, Tonkin stated.

Veasey was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Cristin Cavallaro who set bail at $200,000.00. Veasey was taken to Pike County Correctional Facility in lieu of posting bail.

Veasey will face a hearing in Pike County court on November 5th, 2024.
A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
