LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY - On October 19, 2024, Fallsburg Police responded to a residence in Loch Sheldrake for a report of a fight in progress involving a knife.

Upon arrival, Fallsburg police discovered that the incident was a domestic dispute and a female victim alleged that her boyfriend, identified as Justin McKenny, had threatened her with a knife. After further investigation, Justin McKenny was taken into custody and was transported to the Fallsburg Police Department where he was charged with the misdemeanors of Menacing in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth degree.

In accordance with bail reform laws, McKenny was released on an appearance ticket and is due back in the Town of Fallsburg Justice Court at a later date.

Criminal charges are merely allegations that a defendant has committed violations of the criminal law, and as such they are not evidence of guilt. All defendants have a presumption of innocence and are entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the burden of the State of New York to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
