LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — You just know that if you play a girls varsity basketball game on Friday the 13th, somebody’s gonna lose.

That was the case on December 13, as the home team Lady Wildcats of Livingston Manor/Roscoe were defeated 38-10 by the Sullivan West Lady Bulldogs. Livingston Manor/Roscoe only managed to post a single point in the first frame, while the visitors eked out seven points.

The low scoring by both squads continued for the remainder of the contest of hoops, as the Lady Bulldogs bucketeers outpaced their opponents 10-8 in the second period, and 11-1 in the third frame.

In the final period, Sullivan West sent in their bench, but neither team posted any points.

The leading scorer for Livingston Manor/Roscoe, coached by Joe Clarke, was Anastasia Niforatos, a 10th grade guard, who scored six points.

Sullivan West, coached by Pat Donovan, saw Ella Herbert lead the pack with 27 points including four three-pointers, Brook Nunnari with five points including a three-pointer, and Mekala Chevalier with four points.
