LOCH SHELDRAKE, N.Y. — SUNY Sullivan isn't letting a little rain get in the way of all of its SpringFest! The community is invited to visit campus this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a fun-filled day of INDOOR kids' activities, performances, demonstrations, vendors, non-profits, and more! The SUNY Sullivan Admissions Open House, complete with campus tours, will also proceed as planned.

This free, family-friendly community event will feature free kites for the first 300 kids, inflatable bouncy houses, crafts, dance and theater performances, a student art show, and shooting and other skills demonstrations by both SUNY Sullivan’s men's and women's basketball teams. In addition, visitors can explore dozens of food and craft vendors, as well as learn more about several local and regional non-profit and community organizations.

SUNY Sullivan’s Admissions Open House will also be taking place, and will provide prospective students with an opportunity to explore the college. The event will include information sessions about SUNY Sullivan’s Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and both its language arts and history programs, as well as demonstrations by SUNY Sullivan’s nursing and culinary programs. Staff from admissions and financial aid will be on hand to answer questions. In addition, prospective students can learn about the Sullivan Promise Scholarship, which offers free tuition and fees for one year to eligible Sullivan County residents who earn a high school diploma or GED in 2025. Students can complete a free application on site, and those who bring a transcript can apply for instant acceptance.

SpringFest is co-sponsored by the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association, with media sponsorship from Bold Gold Media Group. Ellenville Regional Hospital, Kristt Kelly Office Systems, New York Life, and the Sullivan County Democrat have also provided support to SpringFest. All proceeds from the event will benefit the SUNY Sullivan Foundation, which plays a critical role in sustaining our ability to make SUNY Sullivan accessible and affordable for all.
