Narrowsburg Fire District voters asked to authorize sale of equipment

NARROWSBURG, NY — On Tuesday, October 6,  the Narrowsburg Fire District will hold a special election to authorize the sale of equipment. 

The election will ask voters to approve a resolution of the fire district's board of fire commissioners made on August 20. The resolution declares that a 2009 HME custom pumper (built by Rosenbauer) is surplus equipment and no longer necessary for the use and purposes of the fire district, and declares that the equipement be sold in a manner determined in the sole discretion of the board of fire commissioners and upon such further terms or conditions as may be in the best interests of the fire district as determined by the board of fire commissioners. 

The election will be held at the Narrowsburg Firehouse at 203 Bridge Street from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6. Qualified voters who have lived int he fire district for thirty days preceding the election are qualified to vote on the proposition.
