CHAMBERSBURG, PA — Wilson College is proud to announce that the United East Conference named 63 Wilson students as Scholar Athletes for the Fall 2024 season. This number is a record for Wilson's fall sports, surpassing the previous mark of 60 set last year, and continues an upward trend for the Wilson Phoenix who set program marks in three of the last four years.
In order to be selected, a student-athlete competing in a fall conference-sponsored sport must achieve a grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the fall semester and must have been in good standing on his or her team.
This achievement earned recognition for the following local students:
The Conference announced 847 Scholar Athletes which represent 17 members of the United East across six sports, including women's and men's soccer, women's and men's cross country, field hockey, and women's volleyball. Wilson's 63 Scholar Athletes compete in four sports and rank fifth in the entire United East. Three of the four schools ahead of the Phoenix have all six sports comprising their total. The other school ahead of Wilson has five.
