Bethany 4-H Club has a busy spring

Posted

In April, members of the Bethany 4-H Club took a tour of the Pleasant Mount Fish Hatchery. Members were able to see fish in all stages of life and learned about the daily operations of the hatchery.

The club would like to thank hatchery manager Walt Yetter for taking the time to give us a tour.

At our April meeting, we made cards for hospitalized kids. There is an organization that delivers cards to kids in hospitals in all 50 states.

In May, the club participated in a roadside clean-up to celebrate Earth Day.  Members cleaned the Grange Road in Honesdale and collected six bags of trash.

We also collected items for the Dessin Animal Shelter in Honesdale.

The club is currently working on the club project this year, which is gardening. We are also busy planning our club displays for the fair.

If you’re interested in joining 4-H in Wayne County, call the Penn State Extension Office at 570/616-0880.
