HURLEYVILLE, NY — Curious about snowshoeing? To find out if it’s for you, the public is invited to “Snowshoeing Basics” on Saturday, January 28 at 10 a.m. at Morgan Outdoors in Livingston Manor, NY.

The free 30-minute indoor session will cover how snowshoes work, what to wear, where to go, and creative ways to have fun.

Snowshoeing is suitable for a wide range of ages. Children old enough to enjoy a hike are old enough to enjoy snowshoes. Snowshoeing can also be a calorie-burning workout, depending on the trail and terrain. Just as some hiking trails could be called “walking trails,” snowshoes enable relaxed winter walks with the advantage of traction. Snowshoeing can be enjoyed in backyards, nearby public parks and trails, without any entry fee.

Register to reserve a place by calling 845/693-4181, or email info@morgan-outdoors.com. Participants will receive a Snowlovers coupon.

There is limited space, so register soon.

Morgan Outdoors is located at 234 Main St. in Hurleyville, NY. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Visit www.morgan-outdoors.com. Morgan Outdoors has been serving the Catskills since 2005!
