GRAHAMSVILLE, NY – The 145th annual Grahamsville Fair, known as the Little World’s Fair, featured a lot of horsepower on Sunday, August 17: the Cruisin’n the Grahamsville Classic Car Show; a draft horse pull in the main ring, presented by the New York State Horse Pullers Association; a display of vintage farm tractors by the Neversink Rondout Antique Machinery Association; and several horse exhibitions by youth.
The fair, which ran Friday, August 15 through Sunday, August 17, was sponsored by the Neversink Agricultural Society, and featured agricultural and livestock exhibits and contests, daily entertainment including live music and demonstrations, rides for all ages, and an array of great food, games and vendors.
A highlight of the car show was Tom Larson’s “Dragon Lady,” a stunning 1951 Mercury radical custom, a chopped lead sled powered by a Corvette 350 CID motor, scalloped in Pontiac Persian Red paint, originally built by Bob Nitti of the Garden State and fine-tuned by Bill Holzhause.
