UNIVERSITY PARK, PA — Those interested in learning how vegetated buffers benefit farms, waterways and communities can attend an upcoming webinar from the Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training, administered by Penn State Extension.

“ACAP Conservation Cornerstones: Buffering the Farm” will occur from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 15. Penn State Extension offers this event at no charge, but registration by Wednesday, October 14 is required to receive the link to access the webinar.

This webinar is aimed at agricultural conservation professionals, farmers and agricultural landowners, and natural resource and watershed professionals.

This presentation will explore the ecosystem services provided by buffers and how thoughtful design and management can support agricultural productivity while protecting water quality and enhancing long-term environmental health.

Participants will learn why vegetated buffers are a cornerstone of conservation on working lands and how these practices can benefit farmers and landowners.

A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants within 10 business days after the live event. Participants can access the recording for six months from the event date.
