HONESDALE, PA — The Wayne/Pike Farm Bureau announced the recipients of the Agriculture: The Heart of A Growing Wayne/Pike County scholarship.
The winners were chosen on the basis of academic achievement, agriculture experience, career goals, extracurricular activities and community service.
Students were also asked to write an essay on one of three pertinent issues facing agriculture today.
Each recipient received a check for $1,500 to assist them with tuition, room, board, books and school supplies as they pursue further education.
Keynote speaker Rep. Rob Bresnahan Jr. presented each student with a congressional certificate to mark their achievement.
