Susan M. Holbert of Lackawaxen, PA passed away at CMC Hospital, Scranton, PA on August 22, 2013. She was 66.

The daughter of George R. Davidson and Mary Donnery-Davidson of North Branch and Highland Falls, NY, Susan was born on July 11, 1947 in Highland Falls, NY. She was married to David Holbert. Mrs. Holbert was the owner/operator of the Lackawaxen House.

She is survived by her husband, David; one son, Matthew Kowalik of Lackawaxen, PA; two daughters, Kimberly Kowalik-Smith of Milford, PA and Chelsea Holbert of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren, Madeline, Aedan, Joan, Justin, Ryan and Richard Kenneth; two brothers, Erich Davidson of Quakertown, PA and Robert Davidson of CO; and two sisters, Cathy Davidson and Theresa Curtis.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at St. Ann’s Church, Shohola, PA with the Rev. Thomas Major officiating. Final interment will be at the Holbert Cemetery, Mast Hope Plank Rd, Lackawaxen, PA at the convenience of the family.
