Robert A. Heyn of Abrahamsville, PA, died unexpectedly at home on Saturday, September 21, 2013. He was 68.

He was born January 21, 1945 in Abrahamsville to Irene Hand Heyn and Alton Heyn. He attended the Galilee School and the Damascus High School. He lived in Dickson City, PA for much of his adult life and drove long-distance trucks for several national firms. He returned to the family home in Abrahamsville when he retired.

He is survived by four children, Dana Heyn of Damascus, PA, Dale Heyn of Narrowsburg, Tammy Trudnak of Lansdale, PA, and Robert Heyn of Columbia, MS; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; four siblings, Fred Heyn of Kannapolis, NC, Chuck Heyn of Abrahamsville, PA, Eddie Quinn of Beach Lake, PA and Martha Quinn of Abrahamsville; and his beloved step-father, Allen Quinn, for whom he has been a devoted caretaker for several years. He was predeceased by a son, David, who died in May, 1999.

A memorial service is being planned at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Equinunk Fire Company or the Damascus Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
