Ethel Bonitz-Welz-Kinne of Lake Ariel, PA passed away Thursday, May 29 at home after an illness.

She was the widow of her first husband Ed Bonitz, her second husband John Welz and her third husband Lloyd Kinne.

Born in 1925 in Harrison, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Edward J and Florence Martin Callaghan.

She was a member of the LaAnna United Methodist Church.

Prior to her retirement she was the co-owner of the Rosemary Inn in Narrowsburg, NY and had also worked as a caregiver until she was 85. Ethel was an active member of the Hamlin Senior Center and was involved with Curves for many years.

Ethel loved to sing and dance. She also loved to crochet and sew, always making sure her babies had hats and scarves to keep them warm.

Surviving are daughters Betty Oppelt and her husband Clifford of Canadensis, Eleanor Myers and her husband Fred of Lake Ariel, Rita Welz of Manhattan, NY, Penny Rose of WV, and Mulle Welz Noorlun of Texas; a son Carl Bonitz and his wife Bette of Bloomingburg, NY; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition she is survived by three stepchildren, David and his wife Linda Kinne, Ivan and his wife Rita Kinne, and Joan and her husband Richard Schulman.

Ethel was preceded in death by a grandson Keith Rose; sisters Florence and Barbara; brothers Billy, Edward and Patrick.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the James Wilson Funeral Home, 143 Gravity Rd., Lake Ariel with services by Rev. Anthony Grecco, pastor of the LaAnna United Methodist Church.

Interment was in Salem Cemetery, Hamlin.
