Royden C. Gabriel, formerly of Bethel, NY, passed away at his home in Glasgow, VA on Sunday, July 31, 2011. He was 85.
Born on October 2, 1925 in Bethel, he was the son of the late Charles and Lydia Cochrane Gabriel.
A life-long Sullivan County dairy farmer, he was a 50-year member of the Cooperative Extension, Farm Bureau and Sullivan County Dairy Promotion Committee; and a member of the Community United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Arsenuck Gabriel; four children and their spouses; Douglas and Judy Gabriel of Friendship, WI, Richard and Gina Gabriel of Dublin, OH, Linda and William Clark of Glasgow, VA and Paul and Paula Gabriel of Gettyburg, PA; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were on Friday, August 5 at Community United Methodist Church in Kauneonga Lake, NY with Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating. Burial followed at Fosterdale Cemetery, Fosterdale, NY.
