Sometimes I remind myself that there is great hubris in thinking that things ought to go differently than they did.
In one sense, it's an impossible notion.
Of course, what happens is generally due to decisions that we make. Even so, how can anything be different from what it is?
In the end, there is acceptance in the present moment, new choices, and an altered path forward.
