Worker support for Bresnahan is important

Posted

At a time when working families are looking for real advocacy, not just rhetoric, it’s encouraging to see Rob Bresnahan earning the support of labor organizations that have long been cornerstones of the American workforce.

Endorsements from groups like the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the Amalgamated Transit Union and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers don’t come lightly. These unions have historically backed Democratic candidates, but their willingness to support Congressman Bresnahan speaks volumes. It reflects a recognition that he is focused on protecting good-paying, family-sustaining jobs right here in northeastern Pennsylvania.

For too long, workers have felt like an afterthought in political debates. What matters most is who is actually fighting to preserve and grow opportunities for skilled labor, infrastructure development and industries that allow families to build stable futures. Congressman Bresnahan has made that his priority, and organized labor is taking notice.

These endorsements are more than symbolic. They represent trust from the very people who keep our region running. When unions that have traditionally aligned one way begin to cross lines, it signals a shift driven not by politics, but by results and commitment. Northeastern Pennsylvania deserves leaders who put workers first. Congressman Bresnahan is proving that he is willing to do exactly that.

Let’s keep Rob Bresnahan in Congress for a strong NEPA!
