HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) recently celebrated Health Information Professionals week, announcing, “WMH has a whole team of health information superheroes to celebrate!”
Health information professionals play a crucial role in ensuring that health information is accurate, complete and available to patients and clinicians, WMH said.
“Heroes don’t always wear capes… sometimes they wear badges and quietly power the entire health care system from behind the scenes,” said medical records manager and privacy officer Stacey Goodenough. Goodenough arranged for a luncheon with games and masks to coincide with this year’s superhero theme.
WMH says it is glad to have each and every member of the team and the expertise they represent. The care and processing of patients’ information must be handled in a timely manner with the utmost privacy and within all compliance regulations.
WMH thanked the entire medical records staff at the hospital, because they ensure that all health information is accurate, accessible and secure.
