HONESDALE, PA — James Donnelly, president/CEO of Wayne Bank, announced the promotion of John Veleber to commercial team leader. In his new role, Veleber will lead the development of a commercial banking team focused on serving businesses and commercial customers throughout Sullivan County, NY and the surrounding markets.

Veleber has been a member of Wayne Bank’s commercial banking team since 2016 and has more than 23 years of banking experience, concentrated in commercial lending and credit. Prior to banking in the Catskills and Hudson Valley, he spent 15 years on Wall Street trading interest rate and power derivatives.

He is now responsible for developing a team of commercial lenders.

Veleber lives in Sullivan County.
